HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers – Hemel Hempstead

Immediate Starts Available
We are recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to work for a leading wholesale food and grocery distribution business supplying retailers, caterers, and businesses across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers looking to gain valuable experience with a well-established operation.

Pay Rates

  • Class 1: £20.44 per hour
  • Class 2: £19.52 per hour
  • Overtime: £22.64 per hour

Start Times
Preferred start windows are:

  • 4:00 AM – 7:00 AM
  • 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
    (Start times are subject to warehouse operations.)

The Role

  • Deliver goods safely and professionally to customers
  • Vehicles are pre-loaded, so no loading is required
  • Complete deliveries using a handheld device, including any required on-site risk assessments
  • Carry out vehicle checks and ensure all deliveries are completed in line with company procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Must be aged 21+ (legal requirement for HGV Class 1 drivers)
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • All successful applicants must complete a driving assessment and an on-site drug and alcohol test before starting
