Job Overview

My client is seeking a reliable and motivated Driver’s Mate to join our logistics team. This role involves supporting the driver in the safe and efficient delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in logistics and transportation.

Duties

• Assist the driver in preparing the vehicle
• Execute any special requests from customers
• Check all deliveries once they have been dropped at the final destination
• Support the driver in navigating routes and adhering to delivery schedules
• Assist the driver in checking the run sheets and picking orders
• Make customers aware of any stock shortages
• Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to

Qualifications

• Good safety practices and being presentable at all times
• Good communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous experience in the same role
