£38,000.00 to £41,000.00

Corr Recruitment are working with a well-established client located in Andover. My client is looking for a suitable candidate to join them on a permanent basis. You will be providing excellent technical support to the department, utilising skills and knowledge to ensure that the job paperwork is correct and can be clearly understood by the workforce.

Duties:

  • Check written work instructions for correctness against quotes, drawings, and customer requirements, making sure that the Purchase Order and Terms & Conditions have been read and understood. Ensure instructions are written clearly and all noted measurements/tolerances are consistent across operations before authorising and issuing to the shop floor
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure that the correct tooling is in place prior to issuing jobs to the shop floor. Co-ordinate the purchase of new tooling, ensuring that stock is in accordance with set levels
  • Raise and check work instructions for subcontract operations, ensuring sufficient information is included for the supplier Purchase Order, and that prices and lead times have been agreed
  • Adhere to the PBML QMS (in accordance with AS9100 rev d and ISO 9001:2015), as well as any customer specific requirements. Ensure that potential new suppliers are fully approved prior to requesting Purchase Orders from administration
  • Assist with the recording of non-conforming products, collaborating with shop floor staff so that the correct information is captured for reporting purposes and concession requests, and that corrective actions can be put in place
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties within capabilities in order to provide efficient technical administrative support
  • Provide engineering support as required to increase production efficiency

Skills:

  • An engineering background or knowledge of precision machining
  • A logical and systematic approach to their work with a high focus on attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Great time management with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and ERP system experience
