Job Description
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Quality Stock Controllers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals with strong stock control, quality assurance, and customer service experience, ideally gained within the food industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability of products
- Carry out quality control checks on incoming and existing stock
- Verify delivery orders, ensuring products meet company standards and match documentation
- Investigate and resolve customer service queries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner
- Liaise with suppliers and attend supplier sites when required
- Maintain accurate records using internal systems and stock management software
- Support operational efficiency by identifying discrepancies and recommending improvements
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company procedures
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or quality control, ideally within the food industry
- Strong IT and computer skills, with confidence using stock systems and Microsoft Office
- Previous experience handling customer service queries and investigations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full flexibility with working hours and schedule
- Comfortable travelling to supplier locations when necessary
Working Hours
- Flexible start times between 6:00am and 8:00am
- Working days between Sunday and Friday
- Occasional Saturdays may be required, with another day off during the week
Salary
- £25,500 – £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
