We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Van Delivery Driver. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. Duties
- Safely operate a large manual vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to various locations promptly and accurately
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable
- Proven track record in warehouse operations or logistics roles is advantageous
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence or equivalent certification required
- Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards within the UK transportation industry
Salary & Terms
- £13.75 per hour
- Monday to Wednesday (potential Thursday)
- 4am to 7am start (must be flexible)
- 8 to 10 hours shifts
