We all get distracted or feel uninspired at times – it is completely normal. So, when you feel like this, how can you stay alert and boost your productivity?
Make small changes to your daily working habits. Making big changes can be difficult to make overnight and difficult to maintain. So, making small changes can in turn add up to a big change in your productivity.

Be accountable. Set your own deadlines, no matter what it is, and stick to them. If you have someone that you need to report into daily/weekly, that’s great, if not, find someone that you can answer to – this will help you focus on getting the job done.

Break tasks into smaller ones. If the task feels so overwhelming you will easily find something to distract you.. So, before you start, break the task down into manageable chunks – you will get it done quicker than you think.

Work in intervals. Really focus on a certain task for a set amount of time and once you have done this allow yourself a small break as a reward – go and make yourself a well-deserved cup of tea. It’s important to allow yourself a small break/ distraction in order to keep focus.

Focus on the positives. At the end of each day highlight what you accomplished, what success you had or what you learnt – use this to propel you forward and motivate you for the following day!

Need some inspiration? Maybe these quotes can help kick start your day:
