Class 2 Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid HGV licence.
• Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and loading procedures is advantageous.
• Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
