Members from Corr Recruitment assisted our chosen charity for 2018, #naomihouseandjacksplace at the Minety Festival this year, which was a fabulous experience for all involved. Volunteering for this fantastic cause during this weekend event has emphasised the commitment our owner and director Danny Corr has made towards this great charity this year…..with staff donating time out of the business during normal working hours, Danny’s charitable commitments by his company have allowed business hours as a percentage to be dedicated to the charity’s benefit.
All the team have done all they can, whether directly or indirectly to help make each event we get involved in for this fantastic charity a brilliant success. Finding out more about Naomi House and Jacksplace is best seen on their website (link above – click #) however as part of our induction to the great work they all do, which in essence simply tries to help families in a place that we would never wish to be in! These workers and volunteers are true champions that help provide vital respite, emergency, end of life and bereavement care to families that are possibly or going through the worse scenarios that life can throw at them. Our Corr team have visited Naomi House to see the great work being done and to be honest, this was a very rewarding, inspirational, life-changing but ultimately a very emotional experience that inspired our desire to help in anyway we can……….then came the bombshell?
To run this life-changing cause to those families unfortunately been impacted whereby naomihouseandjacksplace have to be involved cost £18.5 million pounds per year with only 15% being generated via statutory sources, the rest has to come from all the events, sponsors, donations, affiliations that wish to be associated etc.
We at Corr Recruitment associated ourselves with Naomi House and Jacksplace because we wanted to support a local charity, then when we looked at all the areas they cover it happened to be a perfect match to where our many branches were situated, therefore becoming an obvious choice!
