As restrictions are being lifted, if you haven’t already but are planning on bringing permanent staff and temporary workers back into the work place, (who are able to return) there’s no doubt you’re thinking through how this will be possible and how your recruitment agency will work with you to accomplish this.
Here are a few things to think about and what we are doing to support;
Communication
The workplace will look different, there is no doubt about it. Communicate openly with your staff and gain their opinions – involve them in the conversation. You could ask your employees to share with you their individual experiences during the pandemic – this feedback can help to focus on what has gone well and possible areas for improvements. This could be done by speaking to employees one to one or anonymously via a survey, such as Survey Monkey. At Corr we are carrying regular surveys with our temporary workers to gain their feedback.
Social distancing
This will be in place for some time to come, and there is lots to think about. Can staff continue to work from home (if they have been)? How will social distancing be maintained on your premises? Will staff be rotated? How will communal areas such as kitchens and canteens be managed?
Hygiene
What measures have been put in place to minimize the spread of infection?
Handwashing signs, hand sanitizer gels, frequency of cleaning of kitchen areas, toilets and workstations.
Corr Recruitment can support with the increased need for deep cleans by providing experienced cleaners who can fit around your work schedules.

Fitness to work
We are in constant communication with those working for us currently to remind them to inform us immediately if they are feeling unwell, experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus or are living with anyone who is. We will keep in close communication with your teams also and keep you updated of any changes.
PPE
If you are running short of PPE, get in touch with us – we can make recommendations of reliable PPE suppliers.
Mental Health
Everyone has dealt with the emotional rollercoaster of coronavirus (Covid-19) differently, there has been a lot to work through and think about. We need to monitor how people re-adjust and tailor extra support for the specific needs of individuals. Know that your Corr Recruitment Consultant is always on hand to support with this – they will be checking in with all temporary workers frequently.
Flexible working
Returning to work will look different for all staff and temporary workers depending on their circumstances – it is important that we are flexible and adapt to the changing government advice.
Will you be allowing those who can, to work from home more?
If you need temporary cover to support your business during this time, reach out to your local branch who are ready to listen in order to understand your business needs and concerns. Corr Branch Locator.

Annual Leave
Many employees may have been reluctant to take annual leave during lockdown, but taking holiday is important for mental health. Employees can carry over holiday for up to two years, if it is not reasonably practicable to take due to the impact of coronavirus – you can find out more on this by visiting the Gov.uk Holiday Entitlement page. All Corr Recruitment workers will have been notified about their holiday and when to use this by depending on their contract – we will continue to work with you to ensure that this also does not impact your business. Any questions can be directed to the workers dedicated Corr Recruitment Consultant in the first instance.
